Wing Protectors

Post by locrep »

Am I going mad (probably), can anyone point me in the right direction to purchase what I beleive is plastic wing protectors that sit over the wing to stop any damage being done to the paintwork whilst the vehicle is being worked on,
I have googled and searched two forums and can not find them any where, where as a little while back they kept popping up all over the place.

Thanks Dave.

There is no shortage of those in the U.S. Here you would search for "fender cover". I did find some on Amazon.co.uk using the search phrases "wing cover" and "wing protector"

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Magnetic-Wing- ... ive&sr=1-5

Or if you want to pay a lot more...

Thanks everyone for your help, it was the Winguard ones I was looking for, but now I have seen the price maybe not.

Thanks again

Believe me they are cheap. I was lowering an engine into my S with my dad and son and the engine was dropped to quick and hit the wing guard and put a nice gouge in it but the wing and paint were perfect. If not for the winguard it would be a new wing and paint job. The hard shell design is a great idea!

Is that genuine or aftermarket ?. Either way I'd like a pair of these.

I bought a pair from Nippycars. Only after i slipped and gouged my wing. Guess what would have been cheaper!!! Speaking from experience the wing protectors are brilliant.

Those BMC Srevice wing guards are aftermarket, but very nice. I have one somewhere.

i had a champion one years ago ( champion the spark plug company)

It must have came free if you bought a certain amount of spark plugs, i remember it had a slot in it for the wing mirror to poke through.

Very similar to this........ https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C856984

the things you remember when prompted lol
