I know that the catalogue lists VA 50 single springs for use on a Speedwell GT head. Can I use the VA 52 double springs without concern? The plan is to use the head and Sprint kit on a bored 850 with a hotter (Maybe 997 Cooper) cam. I would like to also use Speedwell 1.5 ratio lifters. The head will need new guides and has been ported and polished.

Hi Kelley...fancy bumping into you...
I got the same information from Mark's PDF copy of the Speedwell catalog. I'm trying to be mindful of the fragile nature of the alloy heads. It does list Mini and Cooper as individual entities, so I should be safe.
Thanks,
Tom
