Mini on American Chopper last night

Post by mk1 »

Did anyone by any chance see American Chopper (Jr V Sr) last night on Discovery. I really enjoyed it for 2 reasons;

1) The inter family shouting screaming & general dysfunctional madness made the goings on here this week look positively normal.

& 2) One of the fabricator guys turned up in a rather clapped out looking Rover Cooper, it made a nice change from all that totally OTT blinged up heavy metal that you usually see on there.

I saw it and it a right hand drive. Really think he was going to handbrake it as he drove into the carpark.

Did you see the large centre exit exhaust it had when drove off. It looked about 3-4 " bore

It's a great show. Got it on series link

Have to say im well into American Pickers on a monday on history (10pm)

Give it a go - they go door knocking across USA and occasionally discover Old Cars

Its addictive tv (along with storage wars - tonight same channel)

I agree 'American Pickers' is a great 'must see' tv programme, this is the second series on the History channel but Series 1 is also being regularly repeated. It seems many Americans have the space to build up huge collections of all sorts of old cars and other collectibles/nostalgia but eventually have to part with the stuff but like some 'enthusiasts' in the UK, others prefer to hang on to everything even if it is all slowly rotting away into the ground!

Was it the red one driven by Vinny? I saw that in an episode somewhere last year I believe, when Paul Jr just found the location for his new shop.

Certainly sounds like the same one, but it was Blue when broadcast in the UK :D

yep saw it great to see a mini bouncing it's way down jnr's drive

Maybe somone should e-mail the show and see if their fabrication skills could produce a mini sprint

Rick is a good fabricator did not like the colour scheme on the tank he made, but impressed with his tin bashing.

I'm sure they could, but why go to them when you can go to the man himself?
