Austin Cooper S built by BMW Group Classic

Post by Yorkie 'S' »

Does anybody know anything more about this car or is anyone aware of this car having being built ?

It all seems a tad strange to me, is the intention to try and race it at the revival I wonder ?

You've been spending too much time in the garage, mate!

For what it's worth (probably not that much, I hear you cry) I heartily disapprove of this project :(

DOH !

I just find it a bit odd ??? Why would they want to do this ??? It would be interesting to see the car in the flesh, I hope all those stickers will be removed if it does get a run at Goodwood !

If al is going to plan I will visit BMW 18 july. To take a look at their department and the car of course. Seen it at the IMM and spoke to BMW about it. Will go with another historic racer from holland to talk about the car (not that i know a lot of regulations) I'm just interested in the history and why? But my friend knows the rules very well, as they race historic as well.

For me it's a nice change to visit BMW.

THey gonna race the car, that's for sure.

Roald.
