Suspension upgrade help?

Post by mark7 »

Hello all, looking for recommendations for an upgrade on my 62 Cooper.
I think i'll use Hi-Los from Minispares but am unsure on the dampers either Koni Classics or the AGX's?
It looks like the Koni's are available in a lowered version, can i use these for an approx 1 1/2" drop or do i need a measure up? :?
Thanks for any tips in advance. :)

Cheers Mark.

Hi Mark,

Some of the Koni shocks have to be compressed to adjust the damp rate. This means having to disconnect the mounts which at the rear means taking the tank back out

Other than that if you're not after the ultimate in set ups Spax seem to do the job. I'm sure others can add to the list of options.

Mike.

I have been very impressed by the KYB self adjusting shockers offered by Minispares. These are a very good price & look like standard shocks too.

Use the "genuine" Rubber cones from Minispares. No point buggering about with other poorer alternatives.
