LBL 6D engine bay photograph
Hello again everyone. I wonder if anyone has any clear photographs of the engine bay of LBL 6D which resides at Gaydon. I'm aware that the bonnet has been raised for the public from time to time so I assume some snaps exist out there. I understand the engine has been swapped out some time ago, however it's the location of relays, regulator and other small details like screen washer tubes etc that still may be in tact that specifically interest me. I'm attempting to create a replica 6D car down here in Australia which makes a visit to the museum a bit pricey. I realise that of all the engine bay photos I've seen, none were identical, so any information regarding this car would be extremely helpful. Thanks in advance Selby

Hi Steve. Thanks for the photo. The period photos provide great insight. There was a photo posted on the 'works car found' thread on about page 40 (from memory). It was a bit blurred but gave me a renewed perspective on previously held incorrect assumptions. It was obviously a later picture but I believe the authentic car with bulkhead exposed to show some detail. It's fascinating how there were so many subtle variations in how each component was located and wired.
Cheers
