Hello,
I have been doing some research but its not all too clear what I need to do. My 66 has it's standard speedo which is a 1376 TPM. The engine has since been changed to a 998cc with remote box from a 1970 mkII. I estimate that the speedo over-reads buy around 25%. I am not sure what the final drive is on my box but I would think that most likely it is standard. I am also unsure what the speedo drive ratio is. Any thoughts on how to figure out what needs doing. I tried the online calculator but without knowing exactly what I've got it doesn't do me much good.
Can anyone tell me what the final drive and the speedo drive should be on a standard 998 mkII from 1970? Cheers,
Also, if I fit a mkII speedo should it solve my problem?

Re: speedo setup
Just looked again at the calculator and I reckon if I have a 3.44 FD, which I probably do then I should then need a 6/16 speedo drive which will get me as close as possible to 1376.
