Rear wheel bearing torque setting.

Post by Gray »

I'm just putting a rear S hub together and was wondering on the torque setting, the manual states 60lb but I guess that is for a ball race bearing so is a S taper roller bearing different? I recall something about hand tight and back off 1 flat ???

Hi Gray,
If the bearings have an internal spacer, tighten right up. If not, as you suggest, firm then back off a little.
