I had seen this before, but hadn't thought about the tyres they would have been using. If they were as they say "standard 850 sedans" were they charging round those bends averaging over 60 mph using crossply tyres?
That would be fun entertainment. Standard mighty mini (sedan) races on 10" crossplys.

Every time I see that I don't think about the crossply tires. I think about the early wheels!
