steam!
hi all, my 62 is fitted with a Recirculatory heater which has worked fine until now.its still working well apart from for the last few weeks i have steam coming from the passenger side vent! no visible leaks or wet carpet, if i turn the heater tap off under the bonnet the steam stops, any ideas why it would only steam from the passenger side? any other advice would be good before i strip it out... thanks in advance

Re: steam!
My MK2 heater does that only the steam comes out both sides and the windscreen vents.
It only produces steam after the Mini has been laid up for a couple of weeks without any use.
After a short drive the steam dissipates.
I suspect it's a leaky heater matrix. I've got a refurbed one ready to go in but haven't got round to it yet.

Re: steam!
As suggested above, I would strongly suspect a tiny leak in the heater matrix. A short term fix will probably be radweld or similar, other than that its a new matrix.
