Re: Servo hose
Hi have a look at austin healey parts suppliers they should have it,or if no joy canal barges use this type of hose for everything!!.
My brother has a barge and i went to a place in Stockton Heath in Warrington with him for some bits, they have every different size of hose all dunlop black with yellow stripe was about £2 a metre.
If you can't get hold of any i could pick you some up when passing.

Re: Servo hose
will
ive just been round to the local hydraulic specalists
they can get black air with yellow stripe
id 12.5
od 22
you have to buy a 30 meter roll though, and they will have to get back to me about what 'branding' is printed on it.

Re: Servo hose
Thanks rich, much appreciated you doing that.
The original stuff looks really thick in terms of OD, and is of course natural rubber - i found some black / yellow airline that was very thin but is almost half yellow / half black, and Dunlop do manufacture oil industry spec hose (overkill for servo?) with the thin yellow line. Im awaiting a response from then regarding other products.
Incidentally, i was told by a large classic brake specialist that this has been unavailable for 10 years or more?
Aquamini how long was it since you went to the place in Stockton?

Re: Servo hose
are you sure the servo hose is actually supposed to be black with a yellow stripe? I have an all original low mileage 67 and it has the black & yellow hose on the heater taps, but not on the servo...(just a black hose) Looks like it has always been that way, cannot imagine why someone would have changed it.

Re: Servo hose
I agree with graham, I am not by any means convinced that cars were supplied new with this type of hose.

Re: Servo hose
Hi the last time i visited there was about 5 years ago,i would think if they don't have any some marine supplier will have some. His boat has it everywhere needs a new engine (bmc 1.8 fitted and is knackered going to fit a modern diesel).
I will strip all the old hose out if you don't get fixed up you can have some of that all in perfect order and 3 different sizes.
If anyone lives near Northwich (river Weaver) there are lots of marine suppliers around there one of them will have some.

Re: Servo hose
To clarify, hose not going on a standard car.....looks way better than the tangle of black pipe when taking into account heater hose, intake etc...
