HI francis,

Welcome to the forum, you have bought one of the very best S's about.

What are your plans for it?

Hi there and sorry that it's taken me a while to get back to you - I've been busy with a family holiday skiing and then the techno classica in Germany. It's a hard life, but someone has to do it!

As to what I'm going to do with AYA? Well, I must admit to being keen to rally her. But, I have no experience and I've also no idea how the rally scene is here in germany. One thing is for certain, she will be driven. What I haven't bought is a museum peice - I certainly intend on driving her. Often!

As a side note, as mentioned, I was in Essen (Germany) at the techno classica this week. What was great was the official MINI stand from BMW. Not only did they have 33 EJB there, but also Rauno Aaltonen. It was quite humbling to see two living legends in the flesh - and what a gent Rauno was, patiently taking time to talk with me and answer all my questions! Interestingly too, I met Gerry from Sussex motor cars - it was good chatting to him too about AYA (which was sold through Sussex sports cars).

I look forward to exchanges on the forum!

Regards, Francis
