- How do they compare to a set of fully prepped A+ rods? Whilch is stonger?
- Will they fit pistons (Omega) with fully floating pin?
- Are these China made (or made of "china"? )

I have no experience of SC's rods specifically, but they have an excellent reputation for offering excellent quality components that are well designed & manufactured correctly.
I have had nothing but good things to say about a decent set of A+ rods, properly ballanced. Yes thay are heavy but I have never had a ounce of trouble from them on engine's upto around 130 hp at the crank and reving up to 7.5k.
Do you need the H beams? Overkill is always best if you can afford it though!!
I have read loads of posts on the forum, this component included, deriding Chinese made products. The truth is, if you ask for the stuff, whatever it is, to be made cheaply they will do so but quality will suffer.
It may surprise you to know that the previous owner of X-Trak (leading supplier of transmissions to Formula One) in his latest and equally successful motorsport venture and additionally Gartrac (leading rally car preparation experts) get some of their forged and machined components made in Taiwan. The quality requested is equal to the specification of comparable UK suppliers but tooling and manufacturing costs are substantially reduced. Regular quality checks have failed to find issue with the products.
By the way, the majority of Subaru rally cars have Taiwan manufactured conrods...oh, and a certain small German company VAG Group get their components made there.
I am reliably informed that without exception, 24 hours a day, e-mails are replied to within 2 hours and the supplier religiously visits his customer at least twice a year regardless of how small a business they are.
The UK manufacturing industry has forgotten the meaning of service so can no longer compete.
Getting stuff manufactured in the UK can be a real nightmare. You are often made to feel like the firm you are giving work to is doing you a favour, where as many non UK manufacturers will bend over backwards to do your work.
I have heard of some serious QC problems with stuff from mainland China though.
Mark,
Check the product I shown in my project thread and compare it with the one made in UK, I haven't fit it yet but it will never rust! alloy RH tank!
