the other year I bought some Irvin belt off a bloke who had worked at a council tip, he told me someone had dumped a large
box full of them years ago. he took them home as he thought they might be useful for something. over the years he told me he had cut up some of them to lift engines and tow stuff with!
He was gutted when I told him what they were worth  . but selling what was left cheered him up again :)

They look quality mouldings but why would you want white mudflaps as paint won't stick to them too well but mud will, or am I missing something here?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NOS-BMC-AUSTI ... SwBnVW99Sj

Nice looking moulding but same problem here in black?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMC-Style-Min ... Sw44BYGM6S

....Perhaps the question is what sort of paint is going to last on rubber and in such a vunerable area?

If you could read the SN number of the inner speedo it would tell you the origin of the centre which has been incorrectly joined to the 130mph outer section. Possibly a 90mph unit like this?

It's on Autotrader for £48k. The auction estimate is obviously a "come and buy me" tempter.

Same price that the Mk.1 sold at the Historics auction on Saturday.

Whilst idling away through the fleece I found these.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/classic-mini- ... 1841207357

Could clean up if you were lucky I thought but then noticed what some chimp had done to one of the pins.

If you look at the second from right piston in the first picture you can see the pin is not completely through.

No problem, someone has just started to remove them from the rod....

Erm, no....

Picture 2 shows the pin has been cut off....

Then I presume it ran in the engine like that.... :? :?

Could it be a coincidence that he has another white Mk 2 S for sale at the moment? Well, it is white in the pictures but beige according to the DVLA :?

Plus the tired early Mk3 he sold recently was actually a Mk4 with brand new plates on and another Mk2 S he sold earlier this year was transparently a Mk2 non Cooper. Buyer beware with this fella!

Andrew, it's time for the golden bell! Make that four!
