somebody told me recently that the cheapest way to improve the perfomance of my car was to lighten it - weight is weight, they said.
so, i chopped a little bit out the front, but was upset to discover that my car is still no faster, indeed it still only has the same power as it did before.....
what am i doing wrong?

Years ago we blagged a guy at work that if he cut the HT leads as short as possible, the spark got there faster.

May I suggest a more radical cut to get the weight down
