anoraks! what bootlid?

Post by dhenry »

Hello,

I have a 1966 Morris Mini-Minor 850. It has a double skin bootlid but should it have a single skin? Also, should it have an 850 badge? Thanks,

it should be a single skin boot lid in 1966

dont think the smaller 850 badge was ever fitted to the uk mk1's.
please note, these are my own, individual sales, nothing whatsoever to do with my employer, minispares

The Bible says Dec 66.
The bible could be wrong though. :)

Great. Now my car has at some point lost it's log book as this one was first registered in 1986. The manufacture date just says 1966. Last night I decided to to some research so pulled up the chassis number and checked it against the car. The number is M/A2S4S-429976. Turns out I have a super deluxe! Who do I get in touch with for a heritage certificate? And can anybody estimate the build date from that number. Thanks
