Re: Mk1 rear quarter panels best ones to use/fit
I used magnum quarters from mini spares, I wasn't using front edge as was joining down side of door post, had no problem with them at all. I did compare to heritage panel and dimensionally couldn't find any difference. But depends how much you want to spend,
Heritage probably are better but I couldn't warrant the extra £70 per side.

Re: Mk1 rear quarter panels best ones to use/fit
I used a heritage panel which is for a mk3 shell with the different door cutout, like Daz I cut and joined the wing just behind the B post. I originally bought a M-Machine mk1 panel which was correct for the mk1 doors but it lacked the curvature of the original and was almost flat just above the wheel arch area. The curve on the rear seam was also wrong.
Don't forget that paying a bit more for a good fitting panel can save you a lot of time in fitting it!
