Thoroughbred and Sportscar Club here in N Ireland host the annual Cultra Hillclimb just outside Belfast.
I still have to edit my photos before uploading them, but I have to share this ....
Alec Issigonis' Lightweight Special made it's first trip to the Emerald Isle and was used in anger on the hill. It's a beautiful piece of engineering and fantastic to see it both in the paddock and on the hill.

Keep meaning to go to this event - looks fantastic!
Is that the former Alec Poole Healey Sprite of James Thacker in the corner of the first pic?

for a man who wasn't particularly interested in motorsport, issigonis didn't half do a nice job on his race car

Is the Issi car owned by Heritage now, or in private hands.
Whatever way, it's looking very fine indeed.

Cheers for posting, it is always good to see the Issigonis Lightweight out and about.
I see it is still wearing it's Goodwood numbers from 2009.
The car is on long term loan to the Heritage Collection (as of July 2010)
