Folks, how do I identify the type of cam fitted to my 998 Cooper lump?
Any recommendations for a nice cam if I decide to replace. Want something that idles as will be a road car (and wedding car if I can get the thing built in time!)

If I was you mark I would use a scatter pattern 310 with 1.5 rollers . .... Ken

I've got a couple of new ones of them left.
1/2" lobes, (though I think the early ones may have had 3/8" lobes?), 2 rings, Pin Oil Pump drive. The same profile was also used in the 1100 and MKI Cooper S Engines.
If you are going to get another cam and yours is in good condition, I would be interested in buying it from you.
