Am I right in presuming the airbox with cut off corner would be when the washer bottle changed to the larger one,

Daz i have seen late MK2 Cooper with the cut off airbox . My early 1968 Mk2 had the none cut off type

The cut off corner was nothing to do with the washer bottle but dual circuit master cylinders for export cars.
Late 1969 UK market Mk 2 Cooper should not have a cut off corner.
