My 1071 is on plus 60 and looks like it needs boring. What are my best options, presumably 73mm or sleeve it back to standard? And what pistons are recommended for a fast road motor.
Cheers

You can get 72.5mm pistons from Keith Calver , depends on the amount of wear, it's 12 thou bigger than you have.
Second time this week I've mentioned him, don't work for him and other than buying some bits I don't know him lol!

Re: 1071 Engine
If it were me, I'd have the block sleeved back to either standard or +0.020". Sleeves are available that will take boring to +0.040" over the initial finished sleeved size, so say you go for standards, then it can be done again at +0.020" and then +0.040", so you'll get another 2 'goes' for the investment.
There seems to be a negative view of sleeves and I really can't see why. Half decent sleeves are a better bore material than the 'straight' blocks are and from my experience, the bore and ring life is usually around 3 times that of un-sleeved blocks.
