Rear camber setting

Post by stratmankev »

I am in the process of building up the rear subframe on my Mk2 Cooper and wanted to know how much rear negative camber i should have as there seems to be lots of conflicting information on the net! from what i gather is 0.5 rear and 1.5 front negative camber seems popular is this correct for a road car?

I run -0.5 camber on the rear and -1.5 on the front. I also run 1.6mm toe out on the front and 1mm of toe in on the rear and the car feels great, but it's a fun car not a daily driver, so I'm not bothered buy tyre wear and the likes.

I had all mine setup on a hunter machine and the guy was happy to spend the time to get the settings to my spec. I can't remember the front faster but it was governed by the wheel arches. I think it was about 2.5 degrees
