Seat id?

Post by 2311Jethro »

Anyone any clue what these seats are? The mechanism seems amazing ornate, and note the 4 bolt front mounts!

Those seats are from a 1970's disabled spec. car.

Interesting, that must be a very rare option?

they also fitted 1960's disabled spec cars (all be it with 60's colours' but they were always in that form - i.e the multi hole brackets and the sturdy frames

they slide back and forth miles easier and flatter than standard seats.

I think some of them also fold flat as well

the base was designed to be very flat to help disabled people twist in and out of the cars - they where a very well thought out design.

I suspect the frames would be ideal for mounting period bucket seats onto
