Mk1 Sliding Windows
Hi, I am going to be replacing the sliding windows on both doors of my Mk1, the windows and chrome strip are OK but the runners are all shot. Does anyone have any top tips for this, and I was looking a Mini the other day that had 'solid' sliders on the top and back edge of the window - which seem a better solution to the rubber ones I currently have - any help would be greatly appreciated.

Minispares sell the bristle and stainless steel type of lower window channel which is close to original.

Re: Mk1 Sliding Windows
I tried the minispares stainless window channels, not great.. Found a pair of old ones that fit much better. Not to say they won't fit but I'd expect some fettling time needed
I've got a 69 Mini with a 1046, Cooper Head and a four on the floor.

Re: Mk1 Sliding Windows
I did my windows two weeks ago with minispares ones, the lower channels (24A88) need trimming to suit each side but apart from that went very well. The upper channel (14A7167) is a soft one which is easy to install too.
