Does anyone have a picture of boot floor underside showing correct type and installation of the floor captive nuts on tanks straps for a mk2 cooper, both left and right hand tank are fitted, I am unsure how to attach the straps as my car just had bolts through the floor due to previous repairs
Thanks

Re: Tank fittings
These pictures are from a MK1 S however, I am almost certain the MK2 has them in the same place.
One picture shows the nut but the small box bit that holds the nut has long gone. It will give you an idea as to the locations.

Re: Tank fittings
Thanks, it looks like my guess may be right, there is a hole on flat part of the valance closing panel and I presumed by rough measurements it was in the correct place to drill through the floor, I have a small caged nut from m machine for left tank, looks like I need the correct bracket for rh side, unless I manufacture a section myself as it's pretty simple, if anyone has any measurements for length and width it would help
Thanks
Darren

Here is a hand drawn sketch with the dimensions...keep in mind it is one piece of metal.

Re: Tank fittings
My mk2 floor from mini machine came without any captive. I'd strongly suggest that original or not then you'd really want one...
I've got a 69 Mini with a 1046, Cooper Head and a four on the floor.
