45 Weber
I've unsuccessfully managed to source a decent used weber 45 for my car, so New looks the next option, on ebay you can pick up for under £300, are these the real Mccoy ?, then a jump up to over £400 up to £500 and beyond at various Mini center's and other suppliers
Ebay one

complete with manifold linkages (although i need a short manifold, which this company does)

Your views please guys

Re: 45 Weber
Spanish not Italian. Wrong progression circuit......holes in the wrong place and to many. Get a secondhand Italian, 13 is correct for siamese ports but 15 or 16 work well also.

I thought the DCOE 9 was the number to look for. I think my Splits are 16s. I just moved my Weber collection to a couple of four tier rolling shelves. Steve (CTR)
PS how short a intake do you need and which linkage and air cleaner?

No, it's a 13 you need. 9s are for 1 choke/1 cylinder like a Healey 3000, though the difference is in the tickover system and makes no difference at full throttle.CooperTune wrote:I thought the DCOE 9 was the number to look for. Re: 45 Weber
So are we saying 152 is the current specification of Weber 45 ? , not as good as a 13, but would it do a good job on a race engine that hopes to deliver 90 to 100 at wheels ?
If not do they still do a 13 new ?
Does anyone know here what the Historic Touring car guys are using ?

Now that's a plan Stu, think I'll give them a call tomorrow, see if I can put a deal together, they seem to be the UK Weber specialists
