It is an unoriginal heater control - maybe from an early Wolseley 1500 or similar.

Mine has the same stamp. Traced and documented as a 62 Morris Mini.

Interesting, the wife's 62 morris 850 super has this on the front panel as well - we had though it was a replacement panel which was a bit strange when the rest of the car is original.
