I had a long chat with MacMillan today and they’re absolutely over the moon with what’s been achieved here I can tell you that, quite an emotional conversation, I want you all to know what it means to me and my family to see the generosity being shown here. Yes Gordon, it’s something that’s probably affected all of us in one way or another sadly.

I'm sure we would all agree it's the least we can do Pete.

Found out last week that someone I've known for most of my life has stage 4 cancer .. similar age to me ..

Thank you to everyone who has dug deep overnight. There was a great spike in ticket purchases.

We haven't quite reached my suggested target of £10,000 just yet, but it is tantalisingly close. I'm not announcing the total until after mid day though once the ticket page is closed.

You now have just over 3 hours to buy tickets.

The total donated to Macmillan cancer Support that was raised by our raffle is a tremendous. . . . . .

£9755.00

This has all been paid in to the tribute fund set up by Peter in memory of his lovely wife Elizabeth.

I would like to sincerely thank everyone who took part, either by buying tickets or donating prizes. The amount raised by our little community is something that everyone who took part can be very proud of indeed!

Thank you so much for showing that the idea of community is alive and kicking on the MK1 Site & Forum.

Well done everyone, it’s a great achievement.

And very well done Mark for administrating the whole thing.

I’m sure a few more pounds will be raised on Sunday too.

Great achievement from a fantastic bunch, even though I have donated a prize I will certainly be putting a plastic note in the bucket tomorrow.
Respect to you Mark to keep pushing the raffle along. Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.
