1275 on a wand change..?

Can this be done? I'm considering going with a 1275 in my mk1 but I don't want to cut the floor about for a remote..

Anyone done this?

Yes, find the wand change from a 4 synchro 850 wand box and swap the vertical shaft through the diff and fit the rest.
