Good evening Gentlemen,
Having owned and rallied (with little success )Minis during the 70s & 80s I remember having burns on my wrists, oil embedded in my hands & skin missing from most of my knuckles! So what possessed me to go and buy a 1963 super saloon I will never know,my wife thinks I am having a bit of a crisis. The a car is a complete basket case, but I have some facilities at work so I will give it a shot. This is going to be a long journey, with which I will may need some guidance & advice regarding historical issues, I will try to keep you guys updated with some photos as the project progresses.

Re: Introduction
Hi & welcome, nice to meet you, it seems you have a similar history to mine, I also rallied a Cooper S in the late 70's & have been involved with Minis ever since. You have chosen an excellent forum for the sharing of knowledge & historic information. Good luck with your restoration, some photos would be good!

Hi Mini-me,
Welcome to the forum. I really enjoyed your first post.
I look forward to following your restoration & will give any help I can along the way.
I too had a gloriously ignominious Mini Rallying career, with one night Roady completed in the early 80's. We did finish, but plumb last.
After that I realised that staying up all night & driving like I was possessed was not the motor sport for me. I was a bit more successful at Hill climbing, but have always been an enthusiastic journeyman rather than the talented amateur I always wanted to be.
When you get a minute, why not post some pictures of your project in the projects & restorations section.
