Right folks, have a new vehicle in garage from another forum member, very pleased overall but cannot get brakes on the damn thing. Not the previous owners fault I might add, its had some work done recently which required him to a partial strip and I am more than happy to recommission where necessary.
Anyhow, ready to road test, but can't get a brake pedal.

First pump, right to the floor.

Multiple pumps, 5 or 6 gets a hard pedal. I can then maintain the pressure, ie pedal doesn't sink.

Engine running doesn't change this situation. Its the first Mini I've had with a servo, both it and master cylinder look like new.

Rear brakes correctly adjusted, discs on front and all looks great.

Bled everywhere, starting furthest wheel, I am using an eezibleeder as I'm on my own, the air bubbles have stopped coming.

Now, if I do multiple pumps of the pedal with the car running, the idle drops dramatically, rather than going up as I would have expected. I have kind of had to jury rig a servo pipe, I'm fairly convinced its not leaking air but you never know.

Any thoughts, have I missed something blindingly obvious?

Maybe start off by isolating each of the brakes with line locking clamps, do all of them if you can at once, and see if the pedal comes good, it should be just about rock hard within about the first 1/2".

If it is, then release the clamps one at a time and check with the pedal after each, it show you which wheel(s) need looking at closer.

Also, as it has had some work done to it recently, were the front calipers removed and if so, where they put back on the correct sides? The Bleed nipple should be on the top side of the caliper.

Yes, calipers correct, and it has braided hoses so I can't clamp them. Have bled it all again, this time cracking open the pipes going in and out of the servo, then going round all the wheels again.

Its a little better. I can hear the rear springs etc working, just the initial application is worrying.

Had great results before with eezibleeder.

I've seen the servo can full of hydraulic fluid. Are you losing in fluid?

Not losing fluid. Abandoned for the minute due to lack of clutch anyway
