Hi all, this is my latest find, wasn't looking for a moke as I only sold mine a few months back , but after buying a Suzuki rv125 sand bike on eBay from a woman whose husband passed away a few years back it came up in conversation that she also had her husbands moke in the barn as well
. So just had to have a look and just had to have. The story goes that he was a film director for the BBC back in the day and used the Moke and RV to get around London. Its very original never welded , don't want to do a restore just the bare min to get it on the road as is, Will keep posted as we go cheers .

Me two , Though i never owned one !!!!
OK i had the chance to buy one on a D plate in the early 80s for £375 but turned it down, Good story to this one , A good friend of mine went on holiday to Scarborough with his caravan, The caravan park had this Moke from new and all it did was run up and down carrying gas bottles, Miles was in the 20,000 mark, anyway he bought it of caravan site owners, i think he paid £200 for it ?, With it being on the coast the salt air had taken its toll ,But it was not rotten to death, I remember the spot weld seem to be the worst, I think the colour was cream ? , I turned it down ,Guess who bought it , The one and only Jeff Williamson , But i would say Jeff moved it on , Did it survive ?????????????????? Don't know the reg but i would say it was a Scarborough plate
Regards
Goff
Another good tale
When the M1 was being built in the late 60s from J28 -30 , main contrator J. Laing. had two Mokes for running up and down the spread ,a couple of years later when the contract had finished they dug a hole and buried them , If it's true, I believe it is , then the Mokes would have been shagged anyway.

I miss my Moke too, perhaps I'll pop home at lunch time to see it.
That is a beauty, it should come up very nicely.

I heard the same tale told about the fleet of mini pickups Laings had - used, worn out and buried.
