Post by tomkidd »

This looks interesting...

For sale a MRD Racing Gearbox Housing, Block Adaptor and Steel Crank Adaptor.
This Housing is to fit a Crossflow or BD Alloy Block Engine on the Mini Gearbox.
Perfect condition, No Damage, No Cracks.
This particular sump had a Cosworth Alloy 2100cc Block!
Few Mileage, Tested at 2100cc - 280BHP.

trouble with that is that it doesn't have the proper full crank.

those nose converters where notorious for coming loose, running out of true and generally been a pain in the arse.

I know someone who spent a fortune trying to make one work reliably in a car, before he just gave up and went back to a five porter.
should you wish, you can contact me on rich@minispares.com

I agree, those bolt on tails were far more trouble than they were worth.

there was a bloke on here who had a whole load of them for sale.

Then went quiet.

It's a lot of money for that....which has clearly had it's box robbed.

If you're serious about it you need one of these

Came with splined superlight flywheel, clutch plate. I will get round to it (honest guv).
Thing is, to do it justice you would use alloy block as well (£ouch !!),also need someone
with the skillbase to put it all together.
