Has anyone used this stuff on vinyl ? (need to freshen up a cover for the single seater trailer which is faded and has had stickers removed)
Any information or suggestions for alternatives appreciated ;)

The original and IMO best Vinyl dye/paint was made by a South African company called Vinylkote about 25 years ago. I used some back then and it rather amused me that their local 'agent' to me was an oldeworlde hardware store in Fordingbridge. Recently I had need to get some more and found it is still available but is now made under licence by a company in Birmingham called Technispray. Due to the vast range of colours and finishes likely to be required no stocks are held but your requirement is made to order. In September 2012 I did a pair of black Triumph Herald seats and at that time a 400ml can cost £16.00 + VAT/delivery. Can't find the receipt at the mo but I also bought a can of solvent cleaner to prep the vinyl first and I think 3 cans of paint did the pair of seats. An exact RAL colour shade match and finish is supplied (eg Matt / Satin / Gloss etc) but they can match anything if you send them a sample.

Other than being a very satisfied customer I've no connection with the company but the finished result was fabulous. Assuming he's still there, have a chat with David Kershaw - I found him very helpful.

Hi Dodge
Apologies for the late reply.
Thanks for the information, very interesting.
I will try them once I need the dye, it's for a racecar trailer cover that has printed logos of wedding cars on it!! So dark grey may be needed.
Kind regards Trevor
