Exhaust manifold temps.

As the title says, what sort of temperature would an exhaust manifold be running at under normal conditions??
I'm thinking of getting mine ceramic coated but would not want it burning off at the price it costs, there seems 2 styles one at 900 degree temp and one at 1000 degrees.

well when you give my car a good run on the dyno the center primary gets to about 650 deg c - is a dullish red.

when getting manifolds ceramic coated many people have the outside done, but its the inside you really need to have done . im not to sure but i think it is probubly down to cost as the outside is much easyer.

we had it done on an aston manifold after the one that was wraped in glass roll burnt away!! (over a period of a few years of constant dyno work) we went to re-wrap it as the blowing was getting a bit over the top , we found there was no 6 into 1 colector left practicly!,

you need to also make sure it doesnt get dented as it will flake off inside the manifold.
