Twin 1&1/4" HS2 on AEG573 Mainifold # Corrected to show HS2

I've got a set of twins on an AEG573 manifold, they've
been in my loft over 25 years and I need to have a clear out...

Float tag numbers, AUD344L & AUD344R. One needle is
jammed in, the other came out, it was GY.

It looks like it has been "slightly" on fire at some point,
but looks like it would scrub up well. The jets were melted
and have been removed. The floats are intact, ie not melted
and the piston assemblies look to be in reasonable condition.

Nothing apart from the needle looks seized or U/S.

This linkage looks to be mostly or totally complete but would
need new return springs. There is a metal fuel pipe as well.

Could anyone tell me what these are off and what I could
expect to get for them as:

a) A restoration project
b) Cleaned up to make them look nice etc

Option c) would be to take them to my local scrap metal
merchants, which I need to pay a visit to soon anyway...
(But that would be a waste, wouldn't it????)

I did a different set and got £90 on eBay a while back but
don't really have time to do this again right now.

Note: This is not in the "For Sale" section as I have not
decided what I want to do with them yet.

AUD344 L&R are from a 1300GT from 1969/70. GY is the correct needle.

GY is the correct needle.

Thanks, that's great to know... and possibly ties up with one of the engine
blocks that I have been using. I had thought that it was from an MG1300,
but a 1300GT is pretty close, maybe that's what it was.

I remember going with my Dad to the local scrap yard in our 850 Mk1 mini
to collect it. We took the passenger seat out and put in a couple of blocks
of wood to level the floor area up a bit. They forklifted it straight in through
the door using an old bit of seatbelt as a strap. My job was to sit there on
the back seat and stop it from flying around the car when we went round
the corners...

Still undecided what to do with these carbs, though. They have now moved
from the garage floor to the shed. They could well end up as a "one-day"
job.
