Traveller exhaust

Wondering if you could give me some advise on an appropriate exhaust for my Traveller.

I've just about finished the engine build - a 1293 S Block running on twin 1.25 SUs - what do you reckon would be the best exhaust to use? I'm looking to have the S look (and note) if at all possible.

Thanks in advance.

Excellent - thanks Rich.

Another question - as I'm also running with Rod change, the transmission tunnel is obviously quite tight now - will this fit ok do you think beside the rod change? I have been toying with the idea of converting to bring the rods internally.

its designed to work with the standard set up, so shouldn't be any issues

Do you guys have "muffler" shops over there???

When I bought my RC40 from Minispares years ago the guys were a bit stunned when I asked for a hacksaw. When I explained that I needed to get rid of the spare pipework so I could fit it in my carry-on bag they produced the two muffler cans as separate parts.

I took these to my local shop where they cut and bent suitable pipe to join up the bits... custom fitting is a benefit when you need to fit around a remote shift. Its worked fine on my S and only needed a slight mod when I rebodied the S with the Traveller shell (you try fitting 2 bales of hay in an S).

Cheers, Ian

Ian,

We do have specialists who can do custom work, but they are far from common here.

In general we have less of a history of home modifying cars in the shed & a smaller selection of cars to choose from than in the States, so these specialists are a little few & far between.

I have used this guy before & have always been very pleased with his work.

Another query for you Rich. What manifold would you recommend for the Maniflow system?
