I am thinking of making a copy of the speedwell dash, does any body know what is the best material to use plywood or hardboard ?

I would suggest that you hang fire for a while. I am well on with this. I have already sourced EXACTLY The right material & am planning on getting a batch (of about 10) made in the next 2 or 3 weeks.
