I'm trying to get an entry , but all the powers that be are still on their way back from racing in Portugal
Andy Harrison is going with Whizzo. I had such a fun time a week ago at the last round of the HSCC , I'm trying to get an entry rather than take the Mighty to Snett. As I had such a good time with the Historic, I was thinking I might try to do the Walter Hayes Trophy with the HSCC in a couple of weeks if neither pan out
Very impressed with the Imps!
Got into close inspection of Fords
By the way, in the way that such things get unnoticed, Roger Godfrey has won the HSCC Saloon cars Championship. Let's hear it for our Mini driving Chap! Maybe not

Just got through and I can get an entry! Looks like another 4 Minis out but only 12 cars in total so far

You're not going to believe this, but my wife has vetoed my entry citing a previously arranged lunch invitation! Still it'll be cheaper, I suppose
Please make friends with William Ward in the white ex Rae Davis car. I was going to look after him but now I cannot. It'll be his second ever race. He'll have RW Racing looking after the car but he's a nice bloke and makes friends easily.
Good luck everyone

I only entered on Thursday myself - always leaving things to the last minute. Apparantly Rachel was coming back to the office to sort things out today.
Small grid might be due to everyone being on an Iberian Holiday !!! I would assume that most of these guys will be moving onto Monteblance this weekend !

We're you running with a Webber Tim, I saw that you wern't in the Appendix K class in the results Tim ?
So thats Andy, Myself, Tim and William in the Minis, Should be fun
Would be nice to get up to 15 entries !!!

Here is where the results are on a file share - took a fair bit of hunting down !!!

It would appear the U2TC results are up there, Masters Saloons were the last race on Sunday, the quali results are up there.

I ran in HSCC as class D as unless the car has it's proper HTP papers, they put you in class D
They have a nice simple form to fill in to register your car with them: Pic of car + details of all the mechanical stuff , so there is areference point for all
£35 which is a load cheaper thn HTP. Isn't that £500ish?
Still got the SU's on. I found that the needles I had in for Silverstone were 1071 ones(MME), so no wonder it seemed to get a bit flat at the top end(surprise surprise). Now have more proper ones in BGs - I guess this is what most sensible pepole start out with as it's a hell of a lot richer at the top end
Found this in my Cars and Car Conversions "Tuning SU Carburettors" book that was 7/6d when I bought it , but somehow forgot to consult when we built the car

Ooooh eck !!! We should be expecting to see you disappearing into the distance round Gerrards then
How much rebuilding did the engine take after Oulton ?

Different motor and box - rescued head. Will get another motor done slowly but surely for next year. Partly depends how it goes with Masters v HSCC. There's no point in racing a 1293 against short strokes in class D of HSCC and it has to be said that theirs is a much cheaper championship to do and they do go to plenty of nice UK tracks, so it's in the back of my mind to do that. I have to say HSCC are quite accomodating in that I used up my "Day Membership for £10" deal at Oulton so I was faced with paying £150 to join fully to do Silverstone, but I paid the money and that will cover me for the whole of next year
I have to say that Masters were also very sporting about SilverstoneClassic : I had to send a cheque for the races up front which they held. I didn't have to join Masters and they said that if I didn't make it, they would tear up the cheque. Can't say fairer than that
There has been some moans about random scrutineering issues and driving standards in HSCC but I can hardly complain can I? Sorry if youv'e seen the clip before
I would say that I don't know the commentator, I didn't pay him money to repeat my name but I would recommend looking at the slow motion part in particular. Notice the Bump as you go into Gerards. It's more pronounced on the outer edge of the track and it does have quite an effect. For my part: We had been messing with the car to get the back to come out more. Only this morning I said to Steve "Do you think we ought to get the back looser, it seems a bit understeery?" . Some people never learn

Ah, you hit the bump just at the wrong moment, with just the right amount of weight transfer on the greasiest part of UK tracks since my mum spilt her chip pan all over Redgate. Another car width closer in and you'd have been alright. Did you lift a tad, also?
I look forward to Mark Jones returning next season in the Masters' Series! Not.

Rachel emailed to say she will put them up on the Masters website asap, probably by teatime today.

No I didn't lift that I remember
Think it might be another Mark Jones possibly. Our one was from Southampton area and has raced in a Seven I think many moons ago

I've probably got his name wrong
but I was referring to that clot who qualified 2nd and pulled across the camera car at the start.

Yes , he's a Mark Jones from Southampton. The Mark Jones that was at Silverstone HSCC in a Lotus Cortina is from Warrington now that I've looked him up

yes the bent rear end after Donington turned out to be a little more involved and had the engine in bits to sort a few issues.

How do you sort a bent back end out by taking the engine out?
OK
So I do know
