Purists look away now

Afternoon all,
Look what I just bought. Far more exclusive than a mk1!
After getting increasingly jealous that my wife has a Clubby estate as an everyday car whilst I was stuck using a boring, modern thing I decided to get rid of our only sensible car and buy the beauty pictured below.
The future is Phoenix cars (no longer trading)
Light body construction for great power to weight ratio for fuel economy!
The firm suspension gives great handling.
Cool integral body styling!
Note the extra brackets for roof bars.
Removable picnic table and fab reddish Astro turf dash trim.
Discreet rear demister.
The rear one piece tailgate gives easy access for loading of large items. *
The wiring is MK2 with upgrades/add ons to meet 1985 MOT requirements.
High gloss paint finish.**
All in all a fantastic practical family car.***
*(This feature does not apply to people over 4 foot high).
**(Paint may/will fade/craze/fall off, over a period of time)
***(Rear passengers may/will need to remove their legs).
On the plus side it was £500 with tax and long mot and it survived the drive home from Malvern to Cornwall.
First plan is to fit a 1071 engine and box that is kicking around at home (sorry)
