If anyone on from up north and Scotland fancies meeting up on route to Blyton on the Staurday a few of us from Newcastle and Durham will be rendezvousing at Scotch Corner Services.
We will meet up at around 2:30pm for a 3:00pm departure. This will give us plenty of time for a steady cruise down the A1, M62, M18 and M180. We should easily arrive at Blyton for 6:00pm giving people plenty of time to get booked into their accommodation and get back to Blyton for the evening activities.

Just respond on this thread if you want to join up or pm me (surfblue63) or Niall (cookie1071).

I will have a small convoy of cars going down from Harrogate / Knaresborough on Saturady afternoon. But we hope to get down to Blyton for about 4.00pm as I want to be able to get a few things sorted before everyone starts to turn up.

One thing to note is that if you are booked in for the meal, you need to be on site & salivating for 18.00 hours, as Mo the chef made it very clear that she was serving up at 18.00 whether anyone was there or not!

That means we've got 3 hours, Niall will just have to drive a bit quicker than 50mph ;)

surfblue63 i would carry on down the A1 to Blyth Notts Junction 34 ,then take the A 614 to Bawtry ( home of machine shop Stanwood hunter ), then take A613 to Gainsborough A159 to Blyton , nice easy ride and off the motorways,

When I did the recce last weekend I went the way described by Goff. Its fine as long as you don't mind speed cameras every 500 yards. I'll be going the M180 way next time.

Thanks for the tip goff, but I'll probably keep to my original plan as it is the way I go to Cadwell, Normanby Hall and Mamby, so I can run on autopilot not having to think I've missed a turn.
I was down Blyton way on Monday and came in over the Humber Bridge taking the scenic route. The road in from the M180 was quite quiet and mildly entertaining.
Don't go there the way MultiMap takes you which is through Scunthorpe and down the A159. When I left Blyton I went North thinking it would be quicker, but it is not.

Are you sure the cock won't be in an Audi?

Due to the timing of the evening meal being brought forward I am changing the meeting time of the Drive-In.
I am now going to meet up at 1:30pm and depart Scotch Corner services at 2:00pm. This will leave people enough time to get booked in at their accommodation and then get to the track in time for the 5:30pm meal time.

Stuart,
We'll be heading past Scotch Corner. Maybe tag along with you or say hello at least. Will be in my Oil Burner Caddy Van with the Mini on a trailer so might not be able to keep up.

We will only be going at about 60mph. Niall never drives that fast or long and my Traveller has barely been run-in since the engine and box were put in earlier in the year.

See you Saturday
