clipper blue with red interior?

I'm building a mk1 replica and am nearly at the point of painting the shell. I was going to go with old English white as I have a full red interior for it but my favourite colour is clipper blue. I've been looking for a powder blue interior for a while with no luck so wondered if the red interior would work with the clipper blue paint?
Has anyone got any pics of clipper blue minis with red interiors?

I haven't seen any pictures of cars in that scheme, but I for one reckon it would look pretty good.

Found his picture on ebay of a toy Mini in (roughly) that colour scheme. Not much use but here goes :

Red interior was used in Grey, Beige and err, Red cars, as well as White. It was widely used in Black cars across the BMC range in the 60s too. So I don't see why you shouldn't go with it.
I wonder if that toy colour scheme above was based on an actual car at the time?

I'd say red trim would look pretty weird in a blue car but I may well be in a minority on this one.

I knew that the scheme rung a bell somewhere, and that was it!
Well done for finding that Corgi.

I think i'll go for it, if I don't like it i'll just have to try and find a blue interior or stump up for the newton stuff (but I prefer the feel/smell of the original stuff).

I have a MK3S in Glacier White with Red interior. I think it works really . It looks classic but still sort of modern at the same time.

Talking of Corgis the blue one sometimes had a yellow interior
and the blue racing version also had a red interior
Also I'm seam to remember that there is a Speedwell blue car in the Beaulieu collection that has a Spanish Red and Fleck interior.
PS Found a couple of pics on flickr

That is correct. All 1959 Speedwell Blue Austins had Red / Grey fleck interior. In fact all early Austins had this interior regardless of the paint colour.

Friend of mine had a 1967 Morris Mini in Island Blue with full Tartan Red interior but with a powder blue carpet. I thought it was a strange combo but he got a Heritage Cert that confirmed it was factory fit.
