Good evening, this week I've rescued this Mk1 Morris Super Deluxe.
All I know is the car was bought at a cuatro a auction in 1974 and it has been off the orad never since locked in a garage in Madrid.
The owner had plans to restore it some years ago but on its way he found more important things to do, so the project was abandoned in his garage.
It looks as its a 1965 Morris Super Deluxe in burgundy with tan interior.
The car is a right hand drive British registered car.
I've asked at the Dvla in the Uk and there are no récords as the car has been out of the UK since at least 1974.
The car has some amazing features for me. In Spain a Mk1 its a rare sight...but I've never seen a Mini with eléctric switches on the driver's door, a mysterious kind of lámp above the dashboard looking to the front of the car, twin Hs2 carburettors....and a pile of documents, books, maganzones, hotel invoice, bank letters, road maps, all from early 1970's.....it looks like the Mini was abandoned or stolen and recovered.
On the rear left window there's still the paperwork of tha customs auction lot in 1974.
Here I attach some pictures of the car. The body is in quite nice condition with only some rust, but not too bad!
So....what do you think?
