Which exhaust?

Disregarding cost, which exhaust would most people fit if they were thinking of recreating a privateer replica? Ex Works system from Somerford or RC 40 single box?
Just about to buy and wanted general opinion.
Cheers. Tim

RC40 is the best.

Maniflow have got to be the best, especially with their links back to Downton

I vote maniflow, I think they are better quality than the rc40. I've never had to replace mine although they do get louder with age as they coke up, mine's done about 40 thousand miles over 3 engines and two cars. Its now in storage waiting to be fitted to my project car if I ever finish. Before that I used only rc40.
A single box maniflow is louder than a singlebox rc40, its personal choice, the maniflow has a more raspy note but I think it sounds good. Also they have skid plates welded onto the silencer front and back so your less likely to knock it off going over a kerb for example and a rolled tail pipe... which you can cut off if you don't like.
Never tried the somerford works type, is it made by maniflow anyway

The maniflow is just a heavier better quality piece of kit that will outlast the rc40 several times over in my experience.

A vote for maniflow from me..
I have the works type mk2 installed a week ago and I am very satisfied with both sound and performance..
