Fill it in & bring it along on the day, it is much more interesting for all involved if they know a bit more about your car. Of course if anyone else who is bringing a car wants to do the same, all the better.

Originally a WW2 airfield Blyton Park was for many years used for the odd grasstrack event, but new owners have breathed new life into the circuit during 2011. New tarmac and plenty of grass and concrete run off have combined to produce a deceptively fast and technical circuit, which can challenge experienced drivers, yet also provide a fun and safe first time out experience for novices. 1.6miles long, the track is fairly flat, and a viewing bank allows for spectators to see the majority of the action.
There are no garages, but the owners have done their best to provide some creature comforts, with a large hangar in which open cars can get out of the bad weather in, and where people can work on cars in the dry should they have any problems. A friendly catering team is in attendance, who offer more than just the ubiquitous burgers and bacon butties. Hot and cold showers and plenty of space for you to pitch a tent complete the offering at the moment.

A new briefing suite and office was opened late in 2012 and the old amenities building was converted into a Clubhouse with a fully equipped Kitchen. There is also masses of space for cars and trailers and associated spectator cars.

The team who run the circuit are very experienced within the field of motorsport, and with their marshalls and medics provide an efficient and friendly service.

Directions:

Blyton Park is approximately five miles North of Gainsborough in Lincolnshire.

The venue is one mile from Blyton village on the B1205 (Kirton Road) and approaching from Blyton the entrance is a mile from the village on the left hand side. There are big signs on both sides of two heavy steel gates and a derelict wartime brick shed next to the entrance. Go through the gates and follow the track past the grasstrack on your left. Keep going past a derelict farm and park by the big grain store (green) on your right. Please drive slowly and carefully and please do not go any further into the site than the grain store.

Do NOT use the postcode in your sat nav! Use the GPS co-ordinates above to save getting lost.

Closest Fuel Station
•There is no fuel on site, but turn right out of the gate and head to Gainsborough (c.4 miles) for a Morrisons and a Tesco.

Apparently putting the postcode into your sat nav will most likely get you lost once you get near Blyton so here are some directions

From the Midlands
Leave M1 at J30 and head for Worksop (A619)
Go round Worksop on A57, join A1 and after 1 mile take A620 to Retford
Stay on A620 and join A631 outside Gainsborough
Cross River Trent and stay on A631 for approx 5 miles
You will see a café in a lay-by on your left-SLOW DOWN and turn left signposted Pilham and Blyton. If you get to Corringham you have missed the turn!
In Blyton turn right onto B1205 and we are one mile on left.
From M1 approx 1 hour, From A1 30 min.

From the South and South Midlands
Exit M1 at Junction 21A and follow A46 to Newark.
Take A113 and then A156 to Gainsborough.
Take A631 out of Gainsborough
Just before Corringham turn left for Pilham & Blyton
In Blyton turn right onto B1205
Blyton Park is 1 mile on the left.

From the North
Exit the M180 at Junction 4 and take A15 towards Lincoln.
After 5 miles turn right onto B1205
After the Level (?) Crossing at Northorpe you are 1 mile from Blyton Park entrance which will be to your right.
From M180 approx. 20 mins

Despite my crap PC and worse computer skills I came up with a site plan. Please copy it and print it for when you arrive (second pic), it'll help on the day if you know where to park up. Track cars can please park up in the paddock area indicated along with your tow vehicles onto the grass and trailers on the hard standing. When you enter at the main gate ignore the parking immediately to your left which will be for the grasstrack meeting. Carry on for a few hundred yards and you'll see the sign boards for Blyton Park.

Camping : motorhomes that aren't track car tow vehicles please pitch up on the camping area, along with any caravans or tents. There are a very limited number of electric points close to the barn which can be used on a first come first served basis, please do not expect one as there may well not be enough. Camping pitches are officially £10 and you'll have to pay for those on the day.

Anyone wishing to leave their car/trailer at Blyton on Saturday evening feel free to do so in the paddock.

FYI there are six electric hook ups on the side of the grain store (R/H side of the camping plot as you look at the site plan) which are 6 amp and available on a first come , first served basis. (though one is reserved). Motorhomes/vans towing trailers (me included) can stay in situ on the paddock slots. Separate motorhomes can be parked on the camping area.

THERE WILL BE A STRICT (NOISE) CURFEW AT 11PM!

IMPORTANT UPDATE :

Food will be served in the dining hall from 5.30pm on Saturday. The dining room will close by 7.00 sharp, so don't be too late or you may miss out.

Food choices on the night will be Chicken Curry, Lasagna or Quiche. The choices will diminish as they 'sell out'.

Therefore diners please aim to arrive at Blyton from 4pm onward (slightly earlier than previously advised).

Hope you lot don't find this too over zealous ! A list of Do's and Don'ts for Blyton, hope this is helpful.

Don'ts first then :
Don't bring any dogs, not allowed near a track sorry.
Don't camp or park in the wrong place (see site plan)
Don't treat the track day as a race, it's just for fun and any diving up the inside or harassing a slower car will get you a black flag. We can drive as quick as we want but there will inevitably be slower cars in front at some point. Allow braking distance and them time to pull to the left to let you pass. Conversely always try to let the quicker cars past when it's safe to do so by indicating and moving over to the the left (infield side). Javelin are pretty keen on track manners.
Don't take your car out on the track if you suspect it's dropping oil.
Don't leave valuables on display in unlocked cars, better safe than sorry.

Do's
Please do feel free to arrive after 4pm on Saturday
Do feel free to bring a bottle to the meal (served from 5.30-6.30).
Do look at (or print) the site plan and park in the appropriate place, where directed by marshals or just ask if you're not sure. All Mini derivatives (other than track cars) should park in the 'Maximum Mini' space, all Minis (not on a 'club stand') park in the Mini parking space.Certain cars will be directed to the 'special display' area on the grass.
Do try and print off a 'car details' form ,fill it in and put in a side window.
Do try to take up just one paddock slot with your tow vehicle, trailer and track car.
Do try and remove the display car from your trailer if bringing one and park up in the 'visitor car park'
Do feel free to don your racewear if you have any, the safer the better I reckon, do cover your arms and legs if you don't.
Do feel free to learn the 'lines' of the track from youtube footage (it's the old original circuit, not the much twistier Eastern Circuit)
Do please drive slowly when moving your car around the paddock, we're expecting quite alot of visitors and the paddock is quite tight.
Do try and bring enough fuel in the car or in a jerry can to save you running out.
Do try and stick to the 11pm noise curfew if camping over (no doubt we'll all be up early!)
Do have a really great time!

On Saturday food will be served from 5.30 SHARP!

The informal meeting & chat with some of our celebrity guests will start about 7.30pm & will continue until approximately 10 - 10.30pm, these times (apart from meal time) are very flexible.

Soft drinks, tea & coffee will be available from the Churchill room canteen during the meal, but you are recommended to brimng your own, soft drinks, beer etc. That can be drunk on the premises. No drinks or refreshments will be available from Blyton during the evening event!

Anyone who wants a car specification sheet or sticky name badge, these will be available for free on the gate or during the evening get together.

Everyone listed below is booked in for the evening meal on Saturday.
