Anyone involved in / spectating at this ?

It's a 'private function' in all respects but I had heard they'd opened up tickets to the general public aswell ?

I'm tempted to go, but at £75 each for a day out it's getting hard to justify (food / fuel ect is going to push it past £200 for two people  )

I see Swifttune are building a replica of Longmans 1275 GT championship car, would be good to see that race

An expensive event for replicas, but what about the entry fee ?

Just about to book some tickets, but can't see anything yet about it being open to general public, I think the whole point of this weekend was to appease the members who didn't seem to be getting much for there membership. But at the end of the day I guess it all comes down to money!!!

Goodwood have opened it up, but I think only to people on the GRRC waiting list, if membership came with 2 tickets to both the FOS and Revival it would make it more attractive, it's a lot of money to pay out, then still have to pay to get into the events (discounted), still there seem to be plenty of people out there that can afford it, and they do put on some of the best events in the world 8-)

I suppose it does though relaxing the 'members only' rule would have brought a few quid in and lowered the ticket price but that wouldn't have gone down well with the GRRC membership I believe. I've even read that members are now moaning that it's no longer exclusive.

Jesus. Pass the Pimms would you darling I feel a headache coming on..

T'would be nice to see Swifty against those 70's saloons though.

You would certainly have a bit of elbow room if it was just 1 member 1 ticket

Having read that I can actually understand why GRRC members feel so ripped off when the club rake in £1M a year in subs only to change tack and market tickets to non members for the same price as the members paid. I don't agree with some of their fears of getting "the wrong kind of people' in (who the hell would spend £70 to stand around at Goodwood in less than Summer temperatures if they were not historic racing enthusiasts ?!) but surely they deserved some discount on their tickets ??

Effectively a member is paying £275 (including yearly subs) to watch the same show as non member paying £75, seems little point in paying for membership. Are you going Pete?

I'm still trying to work out why the MM is £10 more for a day than the Revival / FOS (apart from the obvious that in theory less people going means they have to charge more) I would have thought that having it at the same price (and discounted for Members if they'd said right from the start they would open it up to get to a minimum attendance to make it viable) would have been a better approach for the 'first' year, they tried charging more for the Vintage event they had, that didn't work and it's never been held at Goodwood again.

I'm still very tempted to book tickets

I'm heading to this for both days with a few pals. Can't wait!

Plenty of Minis will be there, but I reckon the Bugatti race will be quite special :D
