And mine, looks like the Australian Smoke Grey is nearer to our Farina Grey?

There's been a 1963 Smoke Grey car on ebay a few times up in Scotland which has been imported from South Africa. Anyone else spotted it or know anything about it? I did have a bid on it a while ago but it didn't reach the reserve and I wasn't prepared to pay the "buy-it-now" price of, I think, £6500.

As someone else has said, the Australian car seems to be a different shade to the "Smoke Grey" we're used to here in the UK which is really more of a light blue.

Farina grey looks a tiny bit 'sage' to me but photos can often muddy the look............
Mine was painted 30 odd years ago using Dulux Acrylic Lacquer and colour matched to remnants inside the doors and boot lid as the previous owner had paint stripped the outside.

According to Heritage mine is Smoke Grey (and white)... well it still is in (obscure) places. Unfortunately, the guy who rebuilt it was a Fraud Phreak so painted it "Hermitage" I just tell people its Cherry Red ..but then everyone thinks its an 850 anyway...

Cheers, Ian
