Folks, going to be 're-doing' my sliding window runners and seals. Are the stainless steel replacement items a good fit or would I be better getting the original ones rechromed?(probably a lot more expensive rechroming!)

Morning David, I've used the Minispares items in my Mk2 S and they went in without any problems, good quality too. One of my doors had to have the channel it sits in remade beforehand and the Minispares runner dropped straight in with no fuss. One thing we've found though is that the new grooved rubber strip (also from Minispares) that fits inside the door frame is very tight, the rear sliding pane on the driver's side doesn't quite go as far back as it ought to, hopefully though in time it'll all settle in properly.

Hope that helps.
