I'm looking for some good photos of the mounting bracket for the engine mounted fuel pump for a Tecalemit Jackson injection system. Helping a friend with a 970 Arden powerplant destined for the Ohio Mini Challenge. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Dennis

No good at photos but could make a template of bracket and angle bracket which fits on the 2 engine mounting bolts if that helps .

Anything whould be a help. We have the mounting plate attached to the pump which I'm pretty sure is the the standard piece that was used. I'm thinking it's just the angle bracket that allows it to mount onto the lower engine mounting plate. I've attached a picture of what we have.

That's the correct bracket .the engine mounting bracket fits through 2bolts then angled at 90 degrees with 2more holes to line up engine driven pump mounting .

I know I have some pictures somewhere of our 1500 8 port but I'm really not sure where they would be now after nearly 30 years!! but I'll have a dig around I do remember we used a TR6 PI electric pump as the lift pump feeding to the belt driven TJ pump

Cut a piece of angle iron 3 inches long that's the profile of the bracket and drill holes to suit .the slotted hole in the engine driven pump bracket is the adjustment for tension for belt ps don't over tighten belt hope this helps

There's a lot of info regarding the TJ system in the Technical section on the main site, under carburation which could be of some help to you dbo.

Some excellent stuff on there Mark, but there seems to be a general shortage of genuine close up period photos and information as to detail.
Hopefully once I have got mine running, I will post some images.

All the right bits..

..but not necessarily in the right order...!!

I think the most important parts on the tj system is having the correct metering unit as there is not much adjustment to weaken the fuel ratio and having the right adjustment on the linkage cable .what spec engine are you planning to use app k ?

All the TJ parts are ex BVRT, and the head is a new MOWOG eight port being built around a 999 s motor, so I've only got myself to blame if things dont go well!!

Are the metering units different?? I have about three to choose from but they all look the same?

From what I can make out, although it a bit difficult to see as the cam covers the ID plate, these are the numbers. Now that I've had a closer look, you are right in saying they are different even though the external cam looks the same..

Serial number 230/16 cam, cat Number 10209, dated Jan 69.

Serial number 230/20 cam, cat number 10209, dated April 69.

Cat number 10209, 307/4. 1275 8 PORT MINI S.
