Hello,
I'm wondering if my petrol cap should be chromed or painted,
My car is a september 1967 baby mk1
Another question, how the carb heatshield was coated? paint?zinc plating?
Thank you

My own feeling/memory is that the "basic" model and probably the commercials had painted caps, and that the "super de-luxe" and Cooper models had the stainless steel.

Re: Painted petrol cap/painted heat shield
Hello,
Thank you for your reply,
I have got an answer from Pluto,
According to him:
All mk1 used to have an inox unpainted fuel cap except early Seven
Basic MK2/MK3 used to have painted cap,
So I made the right choice for my car I think??

According to him, the heatshield wasn't painted,
